Today we have planted green gram!! The last time we planted green gram it did not give any yield because of the season and unpredictable weather. This time we did something different. After plowing the soil, we first sprayed Rhizobium, Azospirillum, and Azotobacteria on the soil. These bacteria help in regenerating the nitrogen in the soil in a way that the plant can take in. We then spread the seeds and lastly plowed the field again. This was to cover the seeds and mix the bacteria into the soil.
To spray the biofertilizers we used our newly set up vehicle. It is a tiller that is connected to our mini tractor’s trailer. We connected a pump to the motor and set the water drums on the trailer. This setup was actually very useful!! I hope we get a good yield of green grams this time!!!
